The mere word “assessment” evokes dread in most faculty. More often, the assessment activity is driven by reporting requirements (accreditation), rather than the mechanism by which we discover how and what our students are learning.
There is much ground to cover, and many myths to debunk. It is my intention to turn over as much as I can in this blog while providing some direct, simple tips on how assessment should be–and can be–done simply.
